If there is anything we love, it is sharing our passion for chunky knitting and weaving. What better way to do that than during a chunky knitting or weaving workshop!
We are delighted that these workshops have gone from strength to strength and we would like to tell you a bit more about our upcoming workshops during the autumn and winter months.
Weaving workshop
So far, we have done 10 weaving workshops this year and we have a few more coming up!

On the 5th of November we'll be weaving in Castledermot in Co. Kildare, at Con's Creations.
The standard loom we're using during the workshop is our Olannmor loom, which has a weaving surface of 20x30cm. It is also possible to upgrade to a large extendable weaving loom. This is especially interesting when you've caught the weaving bug and are looking forward to weaving regularly.
On the 6th of November we're going on a little field trip, literally, in a beautiful stretch of forest just outside Laragh, Co. Wicklow. We have invited our friend and forest bathing guide Cat from Forest bathing Wicklow to take us on a forest bathing session and immerse ourselves in nature. Then, after a reinvigorating cup of forest tea, you will get the chance to make a forest branch weave with us, using a nice branch from the forest and the beautiful natural yarns from Olannmor. You'll go home with your own piece of forest art to remember your amazing morning under the trees.

Blanket knitting workshop
Who doesn't like a weighted woolen blanket made with super soft 100% merino wool? This chunky blanket knitting workshop has been popular from the day we started these in 2018. We now also offer the opportunity to make a bigger blanket during the workshop. The standard blanket size we're making is approximately 75x100cm. You can upgrade to a medium or large blanket size when you're booking the workshop.
Upcoming dates for blanket knitting are: 20 November 2022 and 21 January 2023!
Workshop as a gift!
Christmas is only 2 months away and we know that some people have really creative friends or who love to experience or do something together. An Olannmor workshop makes a great creative gift.
Interested? You can book a workshop in the workshop section on our website and when it is a gift, just pop a note in the comments indicating that you'd like to receive a Workshop gift voucher. We'll send that to you in the post and you can then give this to the lucky recipient, or put it under the Christmas tree!
Private workshop
Last but not least, outside our regular workshops, we are often asked to organise private workshops, for corporate groups and for groups of friends.
We can organise private workshops for groups from 6 participants, whether that is weaving, wreath or blanket knitting, and of course we are also able to offer these workshops virtually to a national and international audience. Interested? Just get in touch.
